Lucia Prihodova (1983) finished her studies in psychology at the Faculty of Arts at Trnava University in 2006. That same year she began working at PJ Safarik University as a researcher and also became a PhD student at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. In her current project she is continuing her research into perceived health status in the patients with end-stage renal disease, but despite previous research, she is focused on the psychological variables in these patients. Her PhD thesis dealth with psychosocial and medical determinants of long-term patient outcomes with a specific focus on patients after kidney transplantation and with haemophilia. Currently she works and lives in Ireland.
