Description This bilateral project (the Netherlands, Slovakia) was dealing with possibilities and problems of patients after kidney transplantation in the process of reintegration into society. Factors that increase or decrease the chance of societal reintegration were explored. The outcomes of the study were presented at several national and international conferences (e.g. ERA/EDTA,   EUPHA) and published in SSCI journals. The SSCI articles are dealing with the occurrence of adverse effects of immunosuppression and its possible determinants (published in Clinical Transplantation), the influence of adverse effects of immunosuppression on compliance in transplanted patients (Transplantation International), the determinants of quality of life in   transplanted patients (Nephrology, Dialysis and Transplantation) and predictors of perceived health status in patients after kidney transplantation (Transplantation).
