Description The aim of the project is to enhance the understanding of how biomedical and psychosocial factors, including behavioural variables, influence functional status and physical, psychological and social well-being as well as the use of supportive and institutional care for patients who are suffering from multiple sclerosis (MS). The project is a prolongation of an earlier cross-sectional study; data were collected in the period 2003-2005. The present study seeks to follow up patients from the earlier study, and to add new patients to the existing database; hence, the project comprises two studies: a longitudinal study and a cross-sectional study.
