Assoc. prof. Lucia Dimunova, PhD (specialization: nursing) is an associate professor and head of the Department of Nursing Care, Faculty of Medicine, Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice, Slovakia. Her research has been mainly focused on the issues of prevention and health promotion, as well as burnout in helping professions and quality of life in patients with chronic diseases. She actively cooperates with educational institutions and clinical departments in promoting new trends related to the profession of nurses and other non-medical professionals. Participation in projects: IRES – Innovation for Knowledge Society (ITMS project code: 26110230075), VEGA, APPV. Scientific outputs: a total number of 120 research papers and abstracts. In 2012 she received the White Heart Award in the category ‘nurse educator’ at the regional level.
